At least ADHD here but for me WFH on days when I need to do deep work so no one bothers me. Also notifications off always for email. Just remember to check and your nervous system will be better off. Calendar everything, even interim deadlines. For the rest of it- still working on it and would love tips myself

I break every deliverable into chunks and calendar time to do each. Let’s you visually see your bandwidth so you can move things around to mitigate peaks/valleys in your workload. Checking email at set intervals helps keep you on schedule (you have to wrap up your ongoing task; check email; add things to your to do list; knock out admin items; start your next work block, etc)

A huge paper calendar that has ONLY court deadlines. I use outlook to note all other deadlines. I find that’s it best for me to save my easy work for my WFH days but that’s more to cater to my anxiety/depression. I have three matters I work on daily and I don’t work on them for more than 2 hours at a time. Need to draft a motion? Draft for 2 hours the go to the next task. I will come back. Also went on reduced hours because life is more than working all the time.

Anyone have noise blocking earplugs/headphones they recommend?

The Bose ultra quiet comfort work really well (way better than my prior generation bose). I also do over-ear headphones so that people see I have headphones on and have to decide if it’s worth it to interrupt me (helps deter distractions when I really need to focus).

Hi everyone, I'm new to Canada and want to start my career here in the Financial and Banking industry. I have passed the CFA level 2 exam and was wondering if I have to complete the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) as most of the job postings here mention about it. I saw that if someone passes at least the CFA level 1 exam then the requirement of CSC is exempted. Can anyone enlighten me about this? As the CSC exam costs above 1000 CAD, I wanted to be sure if I need it before investing behind it.

I’m in the biglaw hiring process through an outside recruiter. It’s so frustrating because he’s having these conversations with the firm and only paraphrasing the gist of them to me. He says he can’t forward the exact emails. Is that BS? Why can’t I see what the firm is telling my recruiter?
