Any BL job searching advice for law clerks? I did one state DJ clerkship and am currently a BK clerk in a district with a fair number of commercial cases and issues of first impression. Looking to get into BK or commercial litigation afterwards. Is BL realistic or should I focus on elite boutique?

Anyone else feel they have less responsibility after exiting consulting? I used to be in the room with C suite, did many board presentations etc. Now my TC is double and I’m dealing with mid-management and have less stimulating work.

What are resources to become a better strategist?

Any attorneys do title? Is it worth it?

I am a fourth year attorney and am on track to be partner of a small but well established ID firm in 2-3 years. Our bread and butter is ID but I have the freedom to take on any matters I like.

I do not want to be doing ID forever but I really don’t know what comes next. What other similar but more advanced (and better paying) fields of defense litigation are out there? Is the next type of civil defense litigation just going out and being hired by private companies?

But one peculiar thing is happening. I have appeared for 4 Cognizant interviews but in all I have been rejected. Whereas most of my friends had easily cleared Cognizant. I am switching tech, so I am a bit concerned like whether my knowledge is too shallow😐

So I just started a new job in sales (B2B specifically). All my life I’ve been in blue collar jobs, military, then construction work ect. I don’t have much money saved to get myself my own business cards as I’m sure they are important to have, I’ve got all the info that I need to go out and start selling. Does where you get your masters degree matter? I’m in an online environmental science masters program at an expensive “name-brand” school, but have colleagues telling me I should transfer to a less expensive program to save $ because no one cares about where your degree is from. Aside from the cost of it, I like my program, and the fact that I’m now connected to an incredible alumni network. And not gonna lie, I like the clout. Thoughts?
