I prefer the North Bay (Marin). SR is too isolated and gets too hot during the summer.
Cosign. So hot

I lived in Dublin for a semester. Could not keep up with the Irish kids on the football field. Otherwise, spent about 5 grand on Guinness and Jamison, totally worth it.
I’d lived in San Ramon for 7 years up until 2010. Moved to Austin later. Here’s my view of San Ramon:
1. San Ramon used to be a wonderful place. South Bay folks started moving to San Ramon. It’s too crowded now
2. Homes are outrageously expensive. I don’t see a value paying so much and getting so little in return
3. Schools are mediocre. School ratings are good due to competition amongst Asian kids
4. If you have to travel to South Bay or North Bay, god save you. Traffic is horrible.
5. Demography is predominantly Asian. It’s very safe out there. That’s the only reason I would consider moving among other reasons
I'm from San Ramon and grew up there! Feel free to DM, but I will say it's fairly Asian (like a lot of the Bay), very much suburbia, and getting more bougie/expensive by the year. Commuting to SF is a pain since the bridge has high traffic. That being said, it's also very safe, convenient, and having grown up there, I was pretty accustomed to hanging out with friends at their houses and so we got pretty close!
Overall I really like San Ramon, though there isn't much to do there (like most suburbs). But there are plenty of restaurants within a short drive, the many libraries and parks are definitely a plus, and you definitely have space/yards! I would be happy moving back if I could afford it and if the commute weren't an issue.
We love Pleasanton but super expensive. Very good schools. Not sure after the kids graduate high school if we will stay.
Not sure if just me but it doesn’t feel like Dublin really has a community vibe to it as no true downtown area.
Loved it but expensive as hell for what it is.
I moved to SR last year from the Midwest. I'm 40 with kids. I love it. Happy to chat.
Just don’t be in the transbay tube during The Big One and you’ll be good. 😋

I lived in Pleasanton for a while while I worked in DT Oakland, it was pleasant. Access to Bart made going to Oak or the city accessible. I really liked Livermore too, even quieter.
Livermore is great. Many underrated wineries and a nice downtown area. Just too far to commute into SF.

Loved it and miss it every single day. We lived in Danville.
Who cares what you become. Just do what you want.

Club Sport vs Equinox? Which one is best in the San Ramon area? Has anyone been to both?
