Can anyone tell me if PwC's non-client-serving Director role is the same rank as an EY Director? Or, is it more like an EY Associate Director?
How is everyone organizing Jira? A project for each product or offering within a product or just a single backlog. The startup I work at have one backlog set up for the product but I find things get lost. The engineering team then have their own Jira projects where items from the product backlog get moved into it, refined, broken down into smaller tickets, and then scheduled into sprints. I can’t help but think this is hard to manage.
What kind of hours are you putting in on your current project? What's the industry? (E.g. Tech, in at 7:30AM, leave at 7PM, back online at 10PM)

TFW when your project team is full of passive aggressive, fickle people. Ugh how can you have a personality if you're so worried about what others think so much? 🙅🏼
I have 10+ years of experience Agency side, but looking to move Client side with remote work. I've applied for a number of roles either directly on Client sites or via LinkedIn, but haven't even received anything other than a straight rejection at the first stage. Wondering if anyone has experienced similar and overcome it/any tips. My resume has a number of large Agencies and global clients on it, with (IMO at least) some nice success stories, but wondering if I'm missing something obvious.
It’s times like these... when I am dialing into a client call on a Saturday of a holiday weekend at my grandparent’s house...that quitting seems like the only option.
Been getting huge waves of not wanting to work because I know I’m only in it for the money. Except that doesn’t even feel worth it anymore. Just started a new project that isn’t interesting, but is chargeable. Need some advice from fellow fishes. Oh, to add on, I had a vacation planned for Santorini earlier in April, but was cancelled due to COVID. 😭
How do I get my old project to leave me alone? I rolled off, but they keep calling me in for little things. My new project leads are okay with it for now, but I want it to end. What to do?
Hello Fishes, How to find a Development project in TCS ? Soon I will be released from my current project. I have 3.8 YOE and want to change my Tech Stack. Thanks.
Anyone have info on MBB/Strategy& supply chain consulting? Group size, actively hiring, common backgrounds (MBA/certifications required/helpful?), project types, & interview prep tips? Looking to enter as an experienced hire. Currently a procurement financial analyst and just passed my CSCP certification. Ex-big4. Thanks!
If you are thinking about going to the client site or the office tomorrow think to yourself, Am I saving lives? If the answer is NO then WFH!
As we discussed the Easter Bunny’s visit, I realized his back story is ready for innovation, and as a consultant, I’d really like to take that project on.
What is director round in PWC ? Is this technical round or Project related questions only ? Help please
QUESTION -When you have a great passion project / bottom drawer idea that you keep bringing out and trying to bring back to life - ie you’ve had it in a couple of agencies - who owns it? It wasn’t for a brief, and it was worked on above and beyond the general hours of work. And it’s never been bought.
Boutique consulting firm vs Big 4, thinking of making the switch to get more structured support and learning... any thoughts? Attrition is rlly high at my firm and project deadlines have been delayed due to resource issues
Rolled off my first project due to performance. I’m bummed and it’s the first time it’s happened to me. Talked to my coach and PM about it. Still feel like I have a scarlet letter.
My Brother in Law is looking at contracting as a 10-99 consultant for a Healthcare IT manager / sr manager position for a client on a long term contract with the VA, managing a few dev teams. Any insight into what he should ask as his hourly rate?
Anyone else ever feel like a completely inadequate consultant? I'm struggling with performance quality on this project because I just feel dumb and it demotivates me to really strive to improve. Possibly also impacted by burnout because I performed well on other engagements and enjoyed my teams more. Just not sure where to go from here to get where I need to be.
Returned from sick leave and found out from other people at the office I totally messed up on a project that I worked on prior to sick leave. Now that my reputation has been ruined and facing an upcoming negative performance review. No one at the office stood up for me despite of positive work done prior to COVID or wants to hear what I have to say. I m bothered by this gaslighting practice both professionally and personally. I felt I was designated as the scape goat. Continued.
Hat to a job interview = good/bad?
Friend wants to join consulting for the pay. I don’t believe she has the aptitude or energy for it. We worked together in a much slower industry, and even there she complained of being overworked. I’ve sent her resources to polish up her resume and links for roles but she’s insisting on texting/long phone calls asking silly questions. Today she wants a resume review over zoom! She comes without having done her homework. How do I tell her I’ve given as much as I can? How do I decline referring?
I’ve been working for my client for about a year and love my projects and client team and have had strong performance-however my team running the PMO is disorganized, burnt out, and teetering on the verge of a major mishap if the trend continues. I’m looking elsewhere but have a strong relationship with our client leadership contacts…..how would I float the idea of them taking me client-side?
How does Deloitte corporate Amex work? Am I expected to use it for all travel? Or can I book hotels etc on personal and expense them later. If it matters, I am joining FDD practice

Tomorrow they are requiring masks again and I was almost in tears when I found out. We have been mask free (recommended) since June and I feel like we are being muzzled again. I am vaccinated, frustrated, and have been off of antidepressants since March. I don’t even want to go into work tomorrow. Anything is better than being virtual and I am trying to look at the bright side, but moving backward still burns. We have parent-teacher conferences coming up and I am hoping that it’s temporary.
Just got a food allergy (realized soon enough so not severe) from room service food even though I made my allergies clear when I was ordering, what sort of comp should I expect?
Does Accenture usually reject via email? Finished the entire interview process and they reached out to schedule a call. Was curious to know if I should expect and offer or possible rejection.
I am currently at Deloitte GPS. I wish to stay in consulting. My goals, in order of priority, are as follows: 1. Switch to commercial projects 2. Maximize chances for MBA admissions 3. Exit opps 4. Upward trajectory (promos, etc) 5. Compensation 6. WLB I am currently trying an internal transfer to Deloitte commercial but that does not appear likely to happen in the near term. Which firms should I be considering, and in which order of priority? My list is below:
Has anyone been offered a status buy-up for 2021. ~$1700 short of United 1k this year and think my travel will increase a good bit starting next year. Think it could make sense, especially given the 2021 thresholds
I have a New York LCA and want start working from Texas... I already started the amendment process and was told that the amendment should be filed before March end. So I booked my flight tickets for April start. However, it seems like the filing is taking longer. Do you guys know if I can still go and file the time under New York? Is there a risk? Would anyone check my flight records? P.S. My LCA is filed but H1B amended petition is not filed yet. Lawyers are waiting for certified LCA.
What’s in a PE operations role? Is it a good transition from FDD? Is there a salary bump? Is the prestige the same? What about work life balance? Is it better than FDD at a Big 4?
Alright everyone, what firms are hiring in HCM and tell me about the work/life balance where you work as well as pay. Feel free to DM.
If there is a sought after Director for a practice being built up at PwC. Has there ever been a time that a director can go straight to partner if they have an external offer that is quite compelling ? Basically that offer would be 1st year partner salary and build off that ? Or PwC likes to stick to it's process and only other option is down the road consider direct Admit partner?
A recruiter reached out for a strategy/planner role at Microsoft. She said it would be 300k TC. Anyone knows what the breakdown might look like. I have 375k TC offers from industry so looking to not even interview for Microsoft role
Has anyone with federal student loans been successful securing a mortgage with the CARES Act forbearance in place? My credit union said they may have to consider 1% of my total loans since My Fed Loan is reporting a $0 payment.
