Any other California moms who have started their short term disability leave 4 weeks before their due date? I am going off the California SDI webpage saying we are entitled to 4 weeks before birth and 6 weeks after (uncomplicated delivery) but my agency just told me they’ve never heard of anyone doing this before and will have to look into if they will grant it.

Stress is causing a massive flare-up of racing thoughts recently. I feel like it's been at least a week or two since I last was able to completely clear my mind. And if it's not random stream-of-consciousness mess, it's music. Ever had a song stuck in your head? Because I've had one for four days now. Driving me nuts. What's next after healthcare for you all?

Starting a new job next month, and considering taking two days off for kids’ spring break next month. Not sure whether it’s appropriate to request time off for a new job (I would’ve preferred not to take any time off for first three months). I may just be able to just ask for a single Friday off (so 1 day rather than 2 days).

Any thoughts on whether I should proceed with the request? I just came from big law and want to make sure I’m not making a bad impression on my colleagues.

I applied for EY and PwC for business transformation and management consulting respectively.

My offer for Deloitte expires soon. I emailed both firms on yesterday politely asking if there's an update.
The thing is I'm more attracted to PwC/EY lines i applied to.
