M&A tax senior salary? NYC
Hi Fishes
I want to share very bad experience I had at Mastercard
I was given offer by Mastercard in month of Dec The hike was less but looking at brand & other perks I accepted the offer & was looking forward to joining them.I got few offers & I went back to them for sole purpose of renegotiating CTC, to have a industry standard hike. They didn't reverted back for 2-3 days & just dropped a mail that they are revoking initial offer as well on grounds that they didn't like i gave other interview

No gap but you can’t become manager without CPA so you will essentially be stuck at S3 until you get it. The only time you will have a gap is when you go to industry
Thanks, that's good to hear. Don't really mind no manager as this is more of a short term stint probably 1.5-2 years max. A sign-off bonus should hopefully make up for the lost opportunity of a M1 promo.
If you have CA, you can apply for transfer or something along those line and get CPA. I know someone from Canada who did this. You may have to take few tax classes or something like that. I know a lot of countries have reciprocity agreements and professional certifications from one country can transfer to another subject to some limitations.
As for pay difference, there is no difference as D1 mentioned and you need a certification like CPA to become manager.
Thanks for the response. Yeah, it's the IQEX exam, basically just Tax portion of CPA exam, but I will still require just under ~2 years of experience to actually be able to sit it (thanks NASBA!)
