Any Salesforce developers have experience interviewing at big tech companies? FAANG and the like? I've only worked in consultancies, their technical interviewing was more solution based (so architect-esque). I did zero coding challenges. But writing code in Salesforce my specialty, and I'll be aiming for big tech shortly 🙂

Wondering if anyone can share the approximate timeline after applying to Target Corp. to hearing something from them. Applied 9/1 and on the applicant portal the status still says “in progress.” I got a great internal referral, but I’ve not reached out to the hiring manager. 😬 I know there were a few hundred applicants — what’s a realistic timeline and what could I say to the hiring manager if I reach out to them. Had a first round interview scheduled for a large CPG brand. My interviewer never called me, and I emailed following up to confirm the call. It’s been over a day and no response. What is going on with recruiters? I tried giving them the benefit of the doubt, but not even an email back saying “something came up” or “we’ve moved on” ? I’ve been ghosted after every final interview during my recent job search, but never had I been ghosted before even having the first call??

EY application has turned to “We'd like to progress you to the next step in our recruiting process”. How soon does communication begin and typically how long is the process?

I had two rounds of discussion (more than a month ago) and the recruiter informed me that they’ll be scheduling the HR discussion and then be rolling out the offer.

It has been two weeks now and I haven’t heard from the recruiter nor has my HR discussion been scheduled.

The recruiter does not answer my calls or reply to e-mails.

There’s no reason you have to put up with a job you hate. I spent many years working in a toxic environment with a boss who gossiped and lead through fear. He wasn’t really much of a leader but basically a foreman. And he could make my existence miserable. I admit that it wasn’t easy to find another job but the bottom line is: trust your guts. If you feel something is wrong it’s because it probably is. Don’t second guess yourself. Look for options and and fight for your mental health.
