Haven’t been getting any interview leads for months. Finally got one that would have been a good fit - thought I did really well for both rounds and just got the rejection email. Feeling defeated. Any advice / words of encouragement?
Interviewing for a role at BP, what are they like as a firm to work at? It’d be the commercial/strategy side of the business rather than production. I understand they went thru a major re-org to be relevant for the future energy industry. How’s that going?
Is there a difference between a normal tax professional vs a tax consultant that works for the big 4? Are they essentially the same position and get paid the same as well?
What are the potential benefits of working at a deals oriented firm (e.g., LEK, S& Deals, EY-P) as compared to the more traditional Big 4 MC type roles at the post-M level? Really struggling with putting in the hours for the deals centric role as I’m not 100% sure of the longer term payoff (besides short term slight bump in comp).
If I try to switch groups, interview and not get it the role. Can I still apply to other openings for the same company?
How does one go from Sr. Art Director to Studio Manager? And who's hiring mid to senior level creatives right now? Thanks!
Moving to a partnerships role in tech - any advice or articles on how to be successful in it?
Interviewing with PWC digital risk solutions group - any pointers on what I can expect or any knowledge from people who are familiar with the DRS group. Input on company culture would also be great.
I have a final round interview for a non-investment role at a hedge fund in the NYC area. I was told I would be discussing comp with the founder of the fund. What kind of compensation can I expect going into the conversation? The firm has about 35 employees and $15bn AUM. Role is business development/client service associate and this would be my first full time role. I just want to have a general idea of what comp could/should be so I feel prepared to discuss
Been working in PA for 2 years. No prior internships or business related work. Is it okay that my resume is just my associate role with like 15 bullet points? Not sure how to fill in the blank space, and it feels super lame to bring in non-relevant college jobs. Can I include ways I'm involved at the firm like mentorship and diversity initiatives?
Exit opportunities for Risk Assurance / DAT? I feel like what we do is so concentrated - what’s one thing we can market ourselves as having experience in?
Fortune 5 company asking for a quick case analysis and a single slide summary (90 min of effort) as first part of the interview even before recruiter screen. WWYD?
Hi. Can anyone help me with a referral in IBM?
What are the most lucrative exit opps for a generalist/strategy consultant at big 4 public sector consulting with security clearance? I’ve heard positive things about Google and Amazon/AWS and about some of the big defense firms (Lockheed). Is it actually possible to boost comp by 50% or so on exit from big 4 in this space?
Anyone here exit to PE post b school? Did you have PE experience prior. Am hearing even I go to hsw, you need PE experience to get back to a PE vp. I’ve heard just a few few shops hire mbb finance project folks
How long have you all been interviewing for?
I created a LoFi playlist on YouTube for consultants like us to vibe and work on (“Pls Fix Playlists”) It’s made me at least 2x more productive in editing my resume while searching for exit opps - so hope it does the same for ya’ll! Let me know what ya’ll fishes think: https://youtu.be/_PWxgWMtP5I
Can someone provide feedback on this offer? Analyst role, fed govt contract analyst. Currently <2yoe in audit. Role is max 40 hours a week. Pay will be 80-90k. I like the hours and deviation from accounting, worried about what a government role might do to my career projections. Thanks!
Will it hurt me in the long run to have comms experience in different industries? My agency is hiring and I'm watching folks at all levels who would otherwise be qualified for a role be disqualified because their experience isn't solely in the tech/B2B space. I enjoy the work I'm doing now but I'm still so new to my career that I can't help but be curious about working in PR for fields like entertainment or consumer. FWIW, my internships were all fashion PR and I didn't think I'd be in tech.
What to expect at a lateral interview with partners? First one ever and am at the partner interview stage
Opinion on PWC's Enterprise Support Services (ESS) practice? Just interviewed for the healthcare practice and am trying to understand culture and dynamic at the practice. Coming from EY
Hello, I applied for a controller job and they are considering me. I am currently a senior 3 but jumped firm and took a lower level to get in big 4. I think I can do the job but am freaking out now lol 😂. I am a CPA, I also have an MBA and a CFA , not that the MBA and CFA are relevant. I need help , how hard is the controller work?
I’m gonna go out on a limb and say that we’re not gonna be required to come back in the office come September with the delta variant picking up speed
Got done with 2nd round at BCG for an MBA internship last week. Do they normally give you a phone call to give you an offer or rejection? Or do they only email you for rejections?
Any organization does consulting interview prep, esp. case interview prep? Trying to switch job into better consulting firms. Never done case interview before, so need some guidance. Thanks!
Interviewing for jobs right now and all of these places have interview processes with 4-5 rounds. When did this become the norm? I am exhausted and all of my “doctors appointments” are starting to look suspicious.
Interviewing this Friday but NOT ready with work sample they asked for. Should I decline the interview?
If anyone is looking to sign up for the Delta Amex Reserve, please let me know! I would love to make a “referral”

30 min phone interview with SM at Acn Strat tomorrow: other than resume walkthrough, why leave, why Acn Strat, and typical tell me about a time question — any other major things I should plan for?
I feel like I wasted a morning. I’m pregnant, can’t focus on work, can’t take my adhd meds, in a new position with no support, and I’m nauseated all the time. I don’t know how to prioritize my work like I have in the past. Has anyone else been in this situation? Any tips?
I was confident that my late-stage interview with Uber went well - just received a rejection email. Perhaps I'm rationalizing, but is it safe to chalk this up as a good miss given the volatility of their business?
Hi all, would love to get your opinion on an estimated market rate for a employee like me, as I’m thinking about asking for a raise in January but haven’t done this before. 1 YOE TS/SCI Full-Scope Clearance 1/2 thru Masters program (Analytics Georgia Tech) Been lead data scientist on team for 5+ months 2 AWS and Tableau cert (sorry had to throw that in there lol) I know this is a tough task without all the context but I’m currently making $95k and that seems to be the lowest on my team.
