Going outside for a walk or hitting a workout are my go-tos. If I don't do something physical, I end up driving myself nuts replaying every second of the interview in my head. I need to tire myself out physically to keep my mind from racing.
Agreed with a walk/physical exercise. Especially listening to music or a podcast.
I usually crack a beer
Sounds like a good plan, I don’t drink though
Do something physical: eat a snack, drink some water, take a quick walk, and/or stretch.
Anything to get out of your head and into your body.
I like to do something creative or completely unrelated to work, like cooking or listening to music I enjoy. It helps shift my focus and calm my mind. Journaling a quick reflection on the interview can also help process things and release any built-up stress!
Yes, writing always helps me too, especially if I need to figure out what might be bothering me.
Thanks, a walk is a good idea. I feel very off balance and this would be calming and get out the nervous energy.
Do something relaxing. I like to eat a sweet treat or just watch something that makes me laugh to get good endorphin stuff happening. The following day I can then take stock of the experience and see what I can improve on for my future interview, if only for practice. Keep in mind that things always turn out the way they are supposed to in the end.
