I’m an L6 SDM at Amazon but a Meta recruiter sent me an M2 sdm job description. I have all the XP I need from previous job experience but does Meta keep your same level as Amazon? Meaning if I am an L6 at Amazon am I automatically interviewing at M1 or can I jump to an M2?Amazon Facebook (Meta)

For those who’ve never visited Middle East. The weather is super hot. The government prevents any measurements past 125degreesF to be reported.
Only 10% of the population are true local, natural born citizens so wealth is among the top 10%. The rest of the country is from white collar and menial laborers from outside the ME, who are treated as second class citizens.
There is absolutely nothing to do unless you fly to Bahrain every weekend. Bahrain is probably the most modern and progressive country in the ME. Lots of alcohol. You’ll see women in bathing suits, at least. Elsewhere, women swim in burqa.
More importantly. Culture. You will be shocked. You will obey rules without question. There are only basic human rights. You can’t wear shorts or sleeveless in public. Most areas are totally dry (alcohol consumption and ownership are against the law) and pork products are non-existent. Goodbye bacon!
Visit first before you commit. It’s a very lonely place to be stuck in.
I'm from Houston, Texas and the weather here can go up to 90 degrees F during the summer. And I thought that's the hottest temperature I could ever endure. Maybe I can survive the Middle East weather but idk if I can fully adjust to the culture (except for the food!)
I have worked. It is cool, but there are very very limited opportunities. And weather is terrible. However it is a good place to work for sometime and earn some bucks owing to zero income tax.
But it'd be wise to have a job in hand before moving to Dubai

Tel Aviv is one of the coolest cities in the world. Highly recommend. I wouldn’t even consider living/working anywhere else in the Middle East but I may be biased as an American who values civil rights
Lmao... Herrenvolk democracy maybe
