Recently on 15th September , status in ibegin changed from evaluation in progress to evaluated
Can I expect an offer anytime soon?

Regarding the WSJ article.. Can anyone in PE explain why any pension fund would be interested in buying single family homes? Extremely illiquid, historically follows inflation.... Do they think Texas will go the way of CA? Ie/ zoning and artificial cost inflation due to supply constraints by the govt? Hey 🐠, what are your recommendations of books, articles, or practice tips to improve communication, both verbal and written? Want to be stronger at running meetings, pitching ideas, writing (cont’d)

One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.

Why are all these healthcare companies (provider side) suddenly aggressively recruiting me? Did they layoff too many people during Corona and now need to backfill?

Is there any advice for networking into projects when you don’t know many people at the firm yet? I always to help on BD work when I’m on the bench, but it never turns into any billable work. Every time I have talked to a partner/senior manager I was told I don’t have the skill set they’re looking for, but I don’t know how to build up from there. Feeing very lost but I want to improve my approach.

Have new analyst on the team with an MBA and project experience. After working with them for 2 months it’s apparent that there are 0 consulting skills (excel, outlook, PowerPoint) and they freeze up even on internal calls. They are young and coachable, and I offered to put time into that. However at a company event they made no effort to get to know the team and chose to stick to their familiar colleagues in their home office. I’d like to ask for a new resource but interested in feedback.
