This shouldn’t be news to people but it is.

What’s up with SCC Chicago?
Hi fishes! I volunteer with The Art of Good, a creative collective helping small businesses affected by the pandemic. They are seeking a little help from a media professional. Need an SEM POV for a small business looking to change their name and relaunch their brand. This is non-paid. More about giving back while in-between gigs. :) If you can help out or want to learn more, please reach out to me via LinkedIN. Thank you!! www.linkedin.com/in/karenkohn/

I don’t think any measure taken to do your job well would ever be perceived as anything but diligent. Everybody works differently. If you need to bring notes, then bring notes. Just don’t rely on your notes to carry the meeting.
I’ve done it before. But mostly I put notes in my phone and peek at them right before the interview.
Write them on your hand for that “laid back and still cool but hey, I got some questions” look.
Keep doing that and reference your notes/questions always.
Wait there’s something wrong with going to an interview with written questions ?! Is this is a creative thing and I’m missing something? Having questions ready and written shows you did your research and came prepared. They shouldn’t be 100% spontaneous.
I’ve done it. Just said “I’ve got some questions” and then pulled out my phone.
Or they’ll often ask “do you have any” and then BOOM!!! Pull those questions out
And as someone who interviews people, when they don’t have questions, I think it looks bad on them
