Anyone else find so many things are just exponentially harder right now? Say you have a project or idea you’ve been told to pursue. There’s pushback EVERYWHERE. Those who work for me. Those whose inputs are necessary to execute project/idea. Everyone is DONE. And I get it but also don’t. It pushes me closer & closer to quitting, new job or no new job. One can only fight battles on so many fronts. FWIW, I work in a “matrix” organization, which I’ve come to believe means “getting nothing done.”

I've decided to leave public for an Accounting Manager position in private. What are the different types of companies to consider and the pros/cons? What are the best ways to get the position? Interview tomorrow for a tax associate opening at RSM. Been working in a mid-size city (different firm) that is about 70 minutes from this new home office in a larger metro. How flexible is WFH or dual model going forward post Covid? Am interested in this position and going to tax, but not be able to relocate for family reasons. I know that people say it’s all about story, but with a certain gpa/gmat score is there a “floor” that you’re safe on? For example would someone with 4.0/780 (not me) be pretty much assured at least 1 M7? Or is there a reasonable chance that all M7s will reject them? Or is their floor just lower (T15 for example)?
