My job application status in portal says it is under review since one month but I haven't recieved any calls or mails. Does it mean I am still in consideration or they have put my candidature on hold?

Pick your favorite pieces in your book. I’d say 3 examples. Take them through it like a quick case study, here’s what the problem was, here’s what we did, etc. make sure it’s not too long, but make sure it’s something you don’t have to read slides for. They probably want to test your presentation skills and see if they can put you in front of clients. You got this. Make it good and make it memorable.

I've never been asked to do this but I have done this before to better showcase some of the work I've done in the past.
Some of my work is less tangible than a scrolling portfolio can demonstrate. If I want to show off some of the management tools I've made or my level of comfort in softwares it's really useful to present some of my old working files that were more complex or department infrastructural stuff I made for a role.
If your interview is over zoom/teams/etc you can ask for a portion of the interview to be you sharing your screen and presenting what you think is relevant information to help you land the job. It's actually kind of fun.
yes, though it probably depends on discipline. it’s common practice within strategy. they’ll give me a brief and ask me to create a deck. sometimes i have to pitch it, sometimes not. 3 of the last 4 jobs i recently interviewed for had an assignment — it’s usually reserved for the penultimate or final round.
Yes - Twice. Both were specific assignments with custom presentations and quite a bit of work. Good luck! You will be great👊

I was asked to do a project by the CD after the interview for my first big agency job out of college, I did it and got the job. 13 years later I was asked to do an assignment by an agency before I even interviewed, I told them to walk. I think it can be helpful to have entry level applicants do a small pitch/project if you’re unsure and want to stress test them, but for anyone senior their book and experience should speak for itself.
A follow up, if an agency wants to test out a senior applicant they could offer a paid freelance assignment on a live project (or you as an applicant could suggest it). That way the applicant feels fairly compensated for their time and can get a more realistic feel for the agency and if they actually do want to work there.
