Anyone else noticed that companies headquartered here (in industry, not consulting) have less than desirable PTO days? I’m interviewing with companies HQ’d there and they have 10 PTO days the entire year. WTF? While the companies with HQs out of state (remote roles) have 20+ day PTOs, or unlimited PTO.

Best books to study for case-study interviews? Or methods people have used? Coming from the consulting industry already but not a pure strategy role so need to catch up to speed fast

Currently interviewing at JPMorgan in their CIB division for a associate operations role. Have met with 5 people for two different teams and another person for another team, all of which I believe are 3 total open positions for 3 different teams. Any insight on the interview process or how long it takes or any sort of idea to give me on what I could look for that might help me believe I might get an offer? Is it okay to transfer my H1B to a new company? Can my H1B transfer be denied? I am finishing up my second year of practice as a lawyer. I transitioned to plaintiffs pi work from a boutique commercial litigation firm. I like the work and not having to bill. The issue I am having is managing volume. I have about 150 active files some pre-lit and the rest are in litigation. Cases range in value from very small to low six figures. I also take the driver seat for the grunt work on the firms bigger cases which are at or near 7 figure value. I constantly feel (cont.)

Has anyone left healthcare and is now really happy? I’m an MSN, RN with 12 years hospital experience. I’m burned out and tired of making crap pay. I have an opportunity outside of healthcare that would pay more and challenge me in new ways that I haven’t experienced before. It’s a total shift that would really heal my work-life balance, job satisfaction and budget. My only fear is that I would not be using the license and degree that I worked so hard for.
