Following. Live in LA and have always wanted to try out NY but currently like my job.
Maybe at least you get promoted first, then you can move to a new city. I’m in the opposite way. My life is never stable and I move around a lot (I’m 25 now). It seems your life is great now in many aspects but I understand how you feel. When I was 18, I always wanted to go somewhere different to find who I am and now I feel I need a home to settle down my life. I lost a lot of friends, and I don’t have my whole family here to support and it is not easy to experience alone. I still won’t regret tho, so I hope you will figure out what you want soon
Appreciate the response, that’s kinda what I’ve been thinking just not sure if they’ll drag out the process, and also either need to resign my lease or move home. Definitely feel similarly in terms of moving somewhere different to find myself. Sounds like you did it the right way, I’m sure you’ll find a place to settle down, but wish you the best
Im in the same boat. Am looking to move, but love my colleagues and have a great opportunity for growth at my firm. We have offices all over the place but of course I want to move to the states we aren’t located. Nervous to “start over” but also exciting.
…still have a nagging urge to move to a new state and try something different for a bit. I know it might not be the smartest career move but I’m thinking I’m okay with letting it take a backseat for a bit. Curious to hear if anyone else had a similar experience and how it turned out
Oh hun, OC is too much Trump country for me. Grew up there but transferred to SF as a senior and it’s possibly the only reason I’m still alive. It was life changing to shed my old identity as I came out and actually feel ok for the first time.
