Hey everyone, I got a call from Deloitte recruiting on Wednesday of last week discussing salary requirements and location. They told me that the team really liked me and that they were going to work on an offer. I got a call on Friday saying one group has approved the offer but they are waiting on others. I haven’t heard much since then. Should I be worried? How much longer will I have to wait?

Have you tried using some type of interactive during a Zoom (ie: formative, pear deck or near pod ....or a game type competition like gimkit, Quizizz, Quizlet, or Kahoot!)? Just a thought. I teach math, so that part is probably easier for my subject than many!
Ooo that whiteboard.fi is what I have been looking for!
I test drove it today with my BC Calculus class. Kids were able to work in real time on different problems and I was able to monitor all of their work as they were working in real time. Kids that didn't have a touch screen were able to work on paper and easily throw a pic onto the "whiteboard."
I was easily able to screen share with zoom to discus the processes and trouble shoot in real time.
It's free and easy.
Tennessee, you may have just saved my year, my AP results; and I have hope for the first time this year.
Truly, deeply the most heartfelt thank you.
PS none of the the students had ever used it before, and they all had no trouble and seemed to like it.
I teach precalculus and Calculus; save for the memorization parts of Cal, most of my content is pretty complex for kahoot type activities. My students asked for less of that type stuff since so many teachers are over using them.
I get that! The kids really will tell you what they like/don’t in their own learning if you have the relationships! I use the game based stuff more outside of class for assignments bc I’ve found they are more likely to complete them, but if they are sick of them and tell me, I am always open and will find another way for them to practice in a different format. There are some things that we have to do in a certain way regardless and I tell them if that’s the case, but at least for encouraging more participation these can be beneficial. The formative, pear deck, and near pod are less game based and more geared for practice but let you see results too. Whiteboard.fi would also be good for participation bc you get to see student work or answers without them being afraid to answer out loud in class.
Try peardeck or nearpod... have them submit questions as you go... pick one out of the bunch and use that student to create some dialogue
Whiteboard.fi is great! I use it to get their participation going.
