Audit A2 in NYFS right now. Is there any hope for me to get into FDD now, and does it even make sense for me to jump at this point rather than make senior first? I need some advice. No deal experience

is it worth it to shift to IB or MBB after 7 years in the big four(audit and fdd)? I do think IB and MBB are interesting fields that you can acquire unique skill sets and a good network. But I don’t think I couldn’t keep up already for a daily grind. The reason why I did not pursue it earlier in my career is that I am not from a target school and I do not have an MBA. lol thoughts?

I just joined FDD for a few months as a senior and I was wondering how to network with the Partners/MD if I don’t have any project to work on at this stage? The little I have read on fishbowl about FTI often positions them as the punchline of a joke. I may receive an offer, but do not want to go to a firm with poor prospects and limited learning opportunities.

I’m in FDD… I know I signed up for this but there’s something about the anxiety that comes on a Friday knowing that we still didn’t get access to VDR .. and how that anxiety grows as you enter the long weekend knowing that access can happen at any minute (or not) and you have to tippy-toe on the idea of potentially cancelling on your memorial weekend plans. I know the unpredictability of our job but phew 😮‍💨
