The costs have risen because of where you live. Do you need a car where you are?
yeah i get rising costs but ~30% in one year is pretty wild.
You should check to get comfortable, but that is unfortunately what I have seem and have heard many others say the same. Also, be careful to make sure policies are the same - lotta of little details in the fine print
Finally, the lowest rates and best coverage often come from companies that sell through agents who represent many carriers (and those companies often are not the big advertisers…)
Agree with ya, and hope you can do better. My agent shopped my policy to multiple companies and everyone is going up. Part of it is the cost of cars and cost to repair has gone way up. Part of it is the lawsuits (thank the ambulance chasers you see advertise on TV).
Do consider if your deductible is high enough…. I wouldn’t recommend pulling a claim unless it’s a big deal and best to “self insure” as much ad you can
For what its worth my only advice was dont go really cheap. I had claims for two accidents (not my fault) and the at fault driver in both cases had a company that refused to pay what the body shop said they needed. I had to get my company involved and they fought it out but a crappy company might not do that…
