Anyone at MBB looking to make a referral?
Hi Everybody,
I'm currently working as an outsource in Rapid Metro as Technical Assistant/Civil. I earned a Master degree in Water Resource Engineer after B.Tech in Civil Engineering. Due to Covid 19 I took job back in Civil sector even though I have a masters degree in WRE. It's been almost 6 months of constant applying and rejection and still I'm nowhere close to a job in my dream branch which is the Water sector.Im hopeful that through this portal I may find an entry level position in water

What do you mean the culture is up in the air?? I've been applying at Liberty waiting to break in because I heard the perks are great. But I'd love to hear more if the culture is not good.
I mean yes they have great perks, but I’ve heard it’s hard to grow, they are doing layoffs, there was no bonus last year (per Glassdoor). I heard there isn’t a ton of DEI programs/inclusivity. I don’t know if that’s important to you or not, but I’m a minority and gay. My current company does a great job on DEI. I’m not unhappy at my company, I just want to grow and there’s no growth currently at my company. I used to hear great things about LM, but recently haven’t been hearing those things. So was hoping to get more insight from current/recent employees on here.
I worked at LM for over 30 years. That middle market space went from over $3 B in 2009 to <$500M currently. They burn through a CUO every 18 months. Agents are not fans of their products. UW have to use multiple systems for various lines. Turnover well over 20% annually.
I worked at LM for 5 years prior to coming to TRV. I didn’t mind LM besides my horrible manager; however, I was honestly always scared of being laid off. They have re-orgs all the time and I never felt secure (I was a small commercial UW). Being at TRV for almost 4 years and I haven’t experienced one and I feel much more secure in my position.
