Anyone have any experience applying to Airbnb? All their roles seem to want a crazy amount of experience (5+ years minimum) - do they ever post associate level roles?

Know someone who exited to a manager role at Airbnb after about 2 years experience in Consulting after undergrad

like

Impressive. Wondering how firm they are on their experience requirements...

Airbnb is a very interesting company for roles. I feel like when they say 8+ years they actually want 8+ years. I interviewed for a role within the strategy and analytics function in Airbnb. They do post associate level roles. Lot of times they want people who have “product” or tech company experience

Just venting:::
I had a interview for Human resources assistant position yesterday and while screening me. The lady mentioned that the position has already been filled as of yesterday but they still want to continue my screening for the future. I told her that we can continue if there are similar job opportunities open which there is another position but it has "ALSO" been filled as of today. I was just so irritated. I feel like it was just a waste of my time if I decided to going forward.

It's always been a dream of mine to work at Google, specifically as a UX designer (currently transitioning into UX from visual design). I've been so afraid to apply to any jobs with UX title, Google or not, because I'm always doubting myself and telling myself I'm still under-qualified.

UX designers & hiring managers, what are the skills a designer must have to be "qualified" for a UX position? Keywords on resume? Certifications? Thank you all in advance!

I have a few interviews lined up, which is great, but I have terrible anxiety. Any advice?

Hiya!

I'm looking at applying to MBB (Preferably BCG) for a summer internship this summer. I'm a first-gen Oxbridge student, and while I have little experience in consulting along the lines of MBB, I did work in the city last summer as an sustainability consultant.

I'm curious how important it is to have a referral etc and what you'd recommend for applications opening in jan. Any advice is super appreciated I don't have any connections to the industry but it's something im interested in.

I felt that I bombed an interview, they told me that they will let me know by last week, but I haven’t heard back, thought I was silently rejected, then all of a sudden recruiter reached out saying that they are wrapping up interviews and will let me know by this week. Any hope?

I'm an older non-traditional engineer. My current job was an over the phone interview. I was raised with a suit in mind for interviews. What should I wear? Jeans and a polo? Khakis and a button down? I read that anything beyond dockers and a button down is a negative. Thoughts?

Hiring managers- what wows you at design presentation interviews? I’m hearing a lot of “cohesive story” and “show your process”- would love to hear stories about candidates that stood out to you.
