Anyone know what the process is to get a black license plate on a new car? First time buyer and I’d like to get the black plates directly from the dealer when picking up the car, but not sure if that’s possible with custom order plates (I.e: do I get the white plates at the dealer then have to pay again and wait 3 months for the black ones to come in)

Anyone noticed that with aerobic / cardio exercises it gets more difficult to focus? It is like my mind a TV and someone else gets the remote and goes through every channel every 30 seconds or so

Hi all, just looking for a range, what should should someone with ~3YOE in consulting (targeting Senior Associate) expect for a base salary.

And when giving a range is it better to overshoot knowing they’ll bring it down?

I have an interview with Korn Ferry for an associate principal role and am curious about others’ experiences have been with work-life balance here. Also, I have an idea of what I should be compensated in this type of role, but any insights on how they pay compared to others would be helpful. Bit of a niche topic: I’ve been in TS/SCI processing for a Science/Tech/Weapons analyst position with the CIA for 3 yrs since I finished grad school in chemistry, but CIA positions are sort of set it and forget it since they can take so long. I’ve since been focused on a Patent Attorney track and am with a firm that will support me taking the patent bar/law school. If I get through processing and go to the CIA for some time, do you think would I be accepted back into patent law later on?

Struggling with this whole work life balance thing. Is it possible to have a semblance of a life/hobbies? If so, how? Most of my socializing is honestly in the microcosm of the firm (drink nights etc)

I recently had a specialist partner send me a fairly nasty email after I (a transactional first year) was told to ask them to review something ASAP that had clearly been on my partner’s radar for over a week. Why am I taking the (honestly justified) blame for this? Surely it should be obvious that I’m just the messenger here.
