Anyone have any resume advice for applying to a consulting role in a different industry than what you are in currently? Ex: I want to work in energy consulting but am currently in tech consulting. I have an internship experience that is relevant for the energy consulting position, however, it is overshadowed by more recent internships and work experience that is not in that industry. Would it make sense to remove the non-relevant internships and only include the relevant one and work experience?

Had some interviews with Deloitte this week in FDD was supposed to have 2 more next week but they changed scheduling and said 1 of the partners was busy and the other just wants to do a phone interview rather than video now. Am I being paranoid or is this actually a bad sign

I had a panel interview two weeks ago. I sent the recruiter a status check email last Friday and haven't heard back. I'm really interested in this company and still see the role posted on their site. I'd like to send another email today (to the hiring mgr and recruiter) reiterating my interest along with a list of references. Thoughts on sending the references without them asking? I don't do well with panel interviews and I'm hoping they look past that and check my references.

I have an informational interview with a Managing Director on Friday about a manager role. I currently serve in a client services role and do not have traditional consulting experience (billable hours, etc.). Additionally, while I’ve worked with McKinsey, Accenture, McKesson, and other teams on major projects, I don’t have experience putting together the strategy, more of a support function. I’m 40 and recently transitioned to UX/Product Design. I completed a bootcamp, continue to improve my skills. I network, have coffee chats, attend virtual events, iterated my portfolio and resume.
