I was through business school on-campus recruiting, so I'm not sure if yours will be the exact same, but this was mine:
Round 1:
Interview 1 - 30 minutes in total, with about 20 minutes for the actual case. It was a market entry strategy case with no math from what I can remember.
Interview 2 - same time frame, but this one was a market sizing case.
Round 2:
Interview 1 - written case that I was given one hour to work on and prepare a presentation from the slide printouts I was given. After the one hour preparation, I presented the case to an interviewer for about 20 minutes, then 10 minutes for a few behaviorals.
Interview 2 - 30 minute partner interview that was a mix of behaviorals and a light case that was sort of a market sizing.
Interview 3 - 30 minute interview that was market sizing for about 20 minutes, then behaviorals for the rest.
I didn't really prepare for the written differently than any other case, mostly because I didn't have any examples to work with.
For market sizing, it is all about a structured and logical approach. State your logic before stating your numbers. Make sure you lay out your approach first, and it should involve the formula you are using. Segment whenever you can. I usually tried to segment each step into three, but don't force it if there is not a logical way. Remember that they want a repeatable approach. And of course make sure you are comfortable doing the actual calculations, which should be the final step.
Would love to know how you got an interview! At least when I interviewed in Undergrad, was very typical strategy case interview + behavioral. Would imagine they a good understanding of their offering to market relative to MBB would be a good look too
A recruiter just reached out to me! Guess they must be growing?
Oh....how different is their offering from MBB? I was under the impression that it was similar as the work itself is also similar. Just maybe on a smaller scale
