Honestly it happened to me I took 2-3 weeks off just to get my head right, came back the next time and didn’t expect much and just played loose since I haven’t played in a while and played amazing..sometimes you just need to clear your head.

Had this happen to me between mid May and couldn’t get out of it until middle of august. My mechanics were fucked up wnd I didn’t know how to fix it. I’m fine now but still not like I was in early May.
I find it helpful when you’re in a slump to work on specific areas of the game rather than try worry about the score. Focus on one area before you move on, for me it’s trying to hit a certain number of greens. This article is gold btw https://www.golfwrx.com/285949/the-truth-behind-greens-in-regulation-and-scoring/
Still hitting 7-10 greens a round, I think it’s a combo of 3 putting when I get GIRs, not getting up and down + 1-2 blowup holes
This has been my game all year. Multiple rounds around 80 followed by streaks in the low 90s. Sometimes I feel that the difference between an 82 and a 92 can be small - couple bad lag puts that result in a 3 putt, mediocre approach that ends up being a tough short game shot, 1 more errant tee shot than normal - it adds up. All part of the grind.
Think less about mechanics and more about getting the ball to go where you want. BE AN ATHLETE!

Don’t touch a club for at least a week. Don’t even think about it. After that, a few days of putting/chipping just got feel.
Go out on the course and think about nothing except the target. The tree, the branch, the bunker. Hold that in your mind and swing. Once you start seeing the hall going where you want it, you remember that the only goal is get the ball in the hole in the fewest strokes possible. If you are a decent or good player, you’ve made thousands upon thousands of good swings in your life. Your body knows how to do that. Get out of your head.
I was a scratch golfer, Small D1 school. I have two kids under 8. I play 6-10 times a year right now if i’m lucky and i’m old (44). I’ll break 80 about a 50 percent of those rounds because I trust that my body remembers how to do the thing it took years to teach it to do. I may not hit it as far, I may not wow anyone, but I remember how to get the ball in the hole and trust the swing.
I was going to say something very similar. When I’m playing poorly I tinker with stuff and lose the swing tempo and fluidity. Put the clubs up for a week, then go back and play without a mountain of swing thoughts.
Are you inclined to keep statistics to evaluate your game or just want a subjective / feel based approach?
Applies either way, but you should have a positive mental image of how each shot will fly, where it lands (putt breaks) etc. before you swing.
After you swing, accept that you can do nothing to change the outcome of the shot you just took and move on with a positive outlook on the next shot.
For the stats approach:
Start pacing off your putts so you know how long each one was; mark if you were long or short on each attempt.
PGA Tour averages 2.0 putts from 33 feet, so context is everything. Are you 3 putting from 55 feet? Not so much the putters fault as the chip or approach shot.
Here is the “Tiger 5” as defined in the DECADE system. Minimize these to improve your scoring.
1) Bogie on par 5
2) Double bogie
3) 3 putts
4) Easy blown saves (subjective but think just missed the GIR and failed to get in par)
5) Bogie from < 150 in the fairway
I do keep stats as part of my score entry into my handicap. Also I usually spend a few minutes going over my scorecard to see where I lost strokes.
Putting has definitely been poor recently, both missing 5 footers and 3 putting from distance. Also make at least one triple per round. I would say add a couple bad club/shot selections per round and that's several strokes added to when I was shooting 77-82
But a shot scope v3 and get actual insight into where you need work. The watch and sensors are amazing.
