Anyone here from Point B? Is it true that you guys don't have PTO?

I think the name itself is suspect. Why be B when you could be A?

like

I've been recruited by them before and if I remember correctly they basically get paid "hourly" so a salary offer is based on an anticipated number of working hours (i.e. 1800 or something, I'm making that number up). If you work less than that because say, you took 12 weeks off (ie PTO but not called PTO) then you make less than your planned salary. I had great experiences meeting with Point B people.

like

I've asked about point b on here before and it seems they're a complete sham compared to the rest of our firms

In what way? Can you elaborate? They seem to be pretty highly rated.

Like really sketchy recruiting practices and no one actually knows anyone who works there

I have 3 point bs on my engagement. All ex Big 4 / Accenture. All seemed to have good resumes and are experienced. Yet they all have variations of PMO roles

Point who?

D2: RICHMOND-- oh wait sorry

They seem to be highly rated on Glassdoor, etc. Their compensation structure does seem to be pretty weird.

If I wanted a change I'd consider going there. People seem happy. I really liked everyone I met. The work seemed interesting.

Planning to start there in a few weeks. Have 2 friends that work there and love it. 40hr weeks. No bs.

ACN 2 - which market/location are you going into?

Chicago

Thanks in advance!

One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.
