Anyone here in an internal role at big 4 or MBB? I always wonder how are those roles. Does it feel like working in industry? And, is the sal good?

Did you just abbreviate salary? Is this a thing?

I work in corporate strategy. Very good work, and get the added satisfaction of seeing the impact of my work and how my recommendations played out. Also great senior leadership exposure and relationships. Definitely not a 9-5 job, I clock in 60+ hrs at a min. Salary seems comparable (to the extent I'm aware of it). I'm sure internal roles vary and this might not be everyone's experience.

I’m new to an in-house role at a health care provider. We frequently get subpoenas for patients’ medical records but rarely will get depo subpoenas for personal appearance (where we are a third party) to have the doctor/clinician testify regarding their treatment of a patient. In those cases the doctor/clinician typically does not remember the patient at all. How common is this? It seems ridiculous to drag providers to depos where they can’t supply any relevant info. Career Path: Ops in industry to Public Sector management consulting (no really, not staff aug) to current M7 MBA first year. I'm going through consulting recruiting right now and I really have this nagging MBB-or-bust feeling as I'm talking with all these firms. I feel like that's not sensible. Talk to me, 🐠. What should I be thinking right now about firm selection?

My roommate and I share a two floor apartment. Her floor has a half bath and her BR. Her BF has been spending more time here recently. Im fine with him being here as much as they want if I don’t have to see/share space with him. Am I wrong that I don’t want him in the common space upstairs?

I still have all 4 sections to pass.. I’m in my 3rd year at Deloitte. (I had 2 passed before starting but they expired now... I know, I fucked up. I should have this and should have that... trust me, I know) ... this hanging over my head stresses me out every day. I am a crammer- work best under pressure. Anyone have experience kinda cramming everything into a very short time successfully while working? Any and all advice is greatly appreciated.

I am paid below my market value primarily because I was brought in at the wrong level. An industry penalty for joining consulting of sorts - common I’ve heard. I have confidence and know I deserve more and luckily (randomly) had 3 interviews lined up. The interviews went great and I was almost certain I got them. Recruiter just called regarding all 3 saying they loved me but I’m too senior / not enough depth in focus area. This has been my fear being in consulting, losing that SME focus...
