What are the exit opportunities for big 4 M&A tax? Any chances to go to investment bank M&A or retiring as a big four partner is the best scenario?
Physically and emotionally draining coast to coast project and getting some health issues. Only been on project for a month, will i be able to leave and be okay finding another project?
When interviewing for a strategy role without much prior experience, would you be honest and just say that? I feel like the interviewers will see right through my fabrications
I often see posts about people getting 350K exit or 450K or more in FAANG. Are those strategy folks from Big 4 or are there cyber folks too getting these exits ? I am making close to 200k as M3 in cyber . Not able to anything that would pay more than this in non-consulting ? What roles should I target ?
I’m newish to this and not sure. If your extension isn’t signed yet, you can’t continue work for the client right until it is? At old firm, it was continue work then charge code for previous time/wk.
First day on the project and the partner takes out an hour to teach me how to configure (1:1). Uncle D rocks!!!
Long stretch - my educational background is Business Psych at PSU and social psych program at Yale - I’m an analyst with a background in brand strategy and project support. I am really into marketing archetypes, brand reputations, psychology of experiences. I’m analytical but also creative and a huge people person. Anyone out there like me who’s found their calling? People tell me sales, UX design, etc
Is it bad that I want to staff my project with an LGBT staff? My project is 16 straight people and it’s just too much for me. EY LGBT staff raise a hand!
Gambling to get $500 amazon gift card to take a later flight, will take it, no real rush to be at client today. Let’s see, giving up a biz class seat. Might end up in a middle seat with checked bag😂
A male colleague of mine, who just joined the team this week, has made inappropriate advancements towards me during a team event, touching my leg while talking to me and saying how pretty I am. Worst thing is he’s joining my project too… It’s a no brainer that this is unacceptable, but it’s the first time this happened to me in a work setting and I’m unsure how to handle it. What steps should I take first? Report to HR immediately or speak to my team’s partner first? Any advice is appreciated
What is the appropriate way to provide your two week notice? Should you have a conversation with your coach or project leads beforehand, or should you just go on your internal company page and hit that resign button and go through whatever processes you are prompted to do? What steps do you take before after submitting your notice as a general practice?
On hold for a project that seems like it's never going to start. Torched my already not great utilization
That awkward moment when you type <3 to a client in Skype chat and it auto changes it to ❤️
Great entry-level junior designer position available at a growing sports media property. If you're passionate about sports (MMA a big +) and have solid design aesthetics and AE skills pls hit me up with a link to your site ASAP.
Is change management a skill set used by industry? I want to position myself to have options in a few years, but I just don't see that as being an FTE function.
Any recommendations for a third year cap mkts associate in nyc? What firm was the best culture and who's hiring
Do you like your company culture? What type of culture would you be looking for if you joined a new team?
About to have my final interview with an agency I really love. The pay increase will be 6K which I verbally agreed to, but am wondering if I can ask for 4K more (10K total) after the final interview?
Attorneys with the firm often send firm-wide emails advising of in house openings with a corporate client, and solicit recommendations or resumes of qualified candidates. Usually the client contact is a hiring manager for the position. How do I show interest without completely shooting myself in the foot? While I ultimately do want to exit the firm, I also don’t want to be openly broadcasting my intent to leave by telling the firm attorney(s) that I’m interested. Thoughts?
Do top 10 schools generally fly you out for interviews? Or are they mostly Skype? Or do you have to pay your way to interview in person? Does it depend on the school?
Curious question: Selected in this year lottery but for “h1b change of status cap subject FY2021”. I was planning to change company if h1b is approved this year(oct 1). Does this email subject line above means that I have to wait until next year October(2021) in order for my h1b to be officially approve and to change company? 😰
Looking for good behavioral and case interview prep resources. All suggestions and recommendations are welcome. Thank you!
Rant: apply for job online. Job emails me with 7 questions as "next steps", one of which is salary. I email back. They email back (at 9pm mind you) "we can't meet your salary expectations"...
I have an awesome opportunity to apply for a promotion that would give me additional responsibilities but a faster track to leadership. I am also 10 weeks pregnant with my first confirmation appt next week. I want to go for it but feel bad about applying when I would go on mat leave in about 6-7 months, pending everything is on track with my first appt. Wanting advice on whether to apply or not and whether to disclose the pregnancy?
In these times, if your referral bonus is $1k or less for seasonal employees you are asking for: 1. Employees who put in work to refer people that end up negotiating a part time option don't work on referring anyone else. 2. If the potential new hire gets an offer, employees have 0 incentive to convince them to accept it. This can even lead to them giving negotiation tips which get the new hire a $5-10k higher offer. They may even recommend accepting a diff firm's offer straight up.
Key West vs Miami for a baby moon in December / January? Any Marriott recommendations for a low key getaway in either location?
