Hi everyone, I recently got an opportunity to pivot to a new field (Product Manager) from my current position (BI/Analytics Manager). However, I joined my job only 4 months ago and I’m conflicted because I would be screwing over my manager, my direct reports, and the recruiting agency who only gets paid if I stay here for x time (need to ask what the terms were). How should I approach the conversation with my management and the team? Its obv not “now or never” but timing seems perfect to pivot

I’ve found a job that is perfect but it’s at a major label and I’m not sure how to stand out in the application process (no direct connections). Do people actually reach out cold on linkedin for these things? Is that annoying?

What’s your take on counteroffers? I recently was offered a role at a growing company (Recent IPO) with what looks like a bright future. The downside is it’s a lat move doing sim work with small increase to base but additional bonus and RSUs that won’t vest for 3 years. Should I mention why I left a company or why I am leaving my current company in my resume? I left one start-up company after 10 months due to loss of funding and exodus of the development team. I am leaving this company after 6 months as we are now on our 3 CEO in 8 months and have lost 50% of our staff. Back to back short tenures has be concerned.
