Just hangout with ex-mormons and you will be fine😂
You would be at the number pf ex-mormons. Utah does have a lot to offer otherwise.
Lots of outdoors stuff to do but it’s not exactly exciting other than that. Insane liquor laws- the only way to buy beer at a liquor store (of which SLC has a grand total of 4) is warm, and individually (no 30 racks, 12 packs etc). They also close at 8 every night.
Some of the best skiing in the world, and tons of amazing national parks/public lands. if youre not outdoorsy though, i think youre going to struggle
I wouldn’t call it a snooze of a place.... but since LDS folks can’t drink, if you just go to a bar... also the mormon are some of the friendliest people you will meet
30 F atheist considering the move as well, and friends who live there say I’d be fine. Plus, great outdoors options and decent breweries - just remember liquor sales are restricted.
I hear that based on sheer numbers the dating scene can be a bit tough if you’re not Mormon, but since it can be tough anywhere not sure that’s a valid scapegoat.
Higher cost, and the company I’m currently looking at is in SLC.
Used to live in SLC. Went to school there. You won’t have a single issue.
Only go if you’re outdoorsy. Otherwise a total snooze of a place
