Anyone know how/where to get involved on a part-time pro bono basis to help undocumented immigrants (and more recently, US citizens) who are being targeted by our government? I know nothing about immigration law and cannot afford a full scale career change, but it sickens me to read about these people’s due process rights going out the window. Want to know how I can help. Sorry to bring politics here but I think/hope we can all agree that the system needs more hands on deck.

What is a reasonable pay increase + bonus? This will be my first pay increase. I make 70k and I will be starting my second year at big law (immigration). I had 2 years of prior experience before joining the firm. My manager rated me highest in all areas and mentioned she recommended me for promotion but it may not happen until next cycle since there are limited number of promotions to give. I will get a pay increase regardless so I want to negotiate in case I don’t get a “good” increase.

I applied for a job at Visa and was contacted the same day. A few days later I had a 30-minute screening interview with the hiring manager. I knew I was very early in the process since the job had only been posted for a few days. It's been 3 weeks and I haven't heard back, even after reaching out to the recruiter.
