Depends on practice. EY equalizes pay during raises so there is little chance of going from high band senior (130-140) to high band manager (180+). You will get a smaller raise than non-MBA peers as the non-MBA's are supplemented with experience and it all becomes equal again. FYI, I'm a SM in strat and handle a lot of the comp things in the practice.
Not really, top performers don't get that much higher raises than average. Higher bonuses for sure.
Mba doesn't matter, from sen to mgr salary bump all depends where you are currently at, they will get you into the manager salary band, so it can be a big bump or pretty small
Thanks EY 1. I guess I was looking for numbers. I know you don't think the MBA matters but I would assume it is at the higher end in the band. So looking for some info from that perspective.
What a great practice at EY. Good stuff.
Thanks EY2. Interesting incentive structure they have in place then.
My buddy in the PI supply chain practice got a 3% raise when he got promoted to manager. He was promoted to manager in two years after his MBAs. I hear the manager salary % increase is pretty low but it all depends on the practice
Nah seriously. EY doesn't value MBAs at all. I know tons of Wharton grads that came in as senior 1s. A senior 1 is a third year at the firm, so essentially they came in at the same level as someone who spent two years at EY straight out of undergrad
@EY4 - that's very strange, we typically slot them in as Senior 2's and maybe 3's if they have the experience.
Agree with EY2. Also, does that mean if I get promoted to manager then I can expect some pretty healthy ranges if top performer? To get me to that top band?
Thanks EY2. Appreciate the info.
But the bonuses are shit compared to other firms, you can work your ass off get that 5 and get 12k
What are bonuses at other firms? Even in industry I am hearing about some pretty amazing bonuses compared to ours.
Deloitte manager can make upto 25% of annual as bonus if they get top ratings. I believe the max is capped at 35%?
