Prep for cases, be ready to talk about the industry and deals you’ve see in the market
Depends if you’re applying for strategy or TSE. Look into the specific work we do, eg. a lot of CDD’s for strategy and more operations in TSE. If they ask for a financial case study it’s probably the sector, not that you have to sit and do some crazy numbers. So look into the market, trends, competitors etc… for TSE, it would be the ops/tech DD side of things, so evaluating a specific company, so what does a bank do (processes and such). Strategy will be market, trends competitors and growth. Not much else to say, on the spot math, know what we do, ask us about ‘the most interesting project you’ve been on’ etc. be coherent and do an elevator pitch to the ‘CEO’ after summing up
your assumptions and conclusions. Good luck

Ok. Then I have more to add. We do both due diligence (ops and tech) where we look into the specifics of a company. How’s the business plan, how is it running its business operations, Geographical footprints, benchmarking of departments and FTE’s, their financials, validating their 5 year business plan. Basically a full in depth review of the business and how it compares to industry. That’s on the due diligence side where you do both sell side (creating the material with the seller) or buy side (asses what other have done). Otherwise we do integration work/carve outs too, synergy realizations, value creation and post merger integration. Try to look those up
But I’d familiarize yourself with how banks or financial service companies operate and not the market
