I have an offer from Deutsche Bank, KPMG & Deloitte.
Keeping the package aside, which company is better in terms of growth, hikes, work-life balance?
Please share your inputs, its my first switch so I'm anxious about making the right choice. 😅

Im not searching for a new job but an acquaintance reached out about a similar role at a similar energy company.Turns out 2 ppl threw my name in the hat. I looked into it and the position was posted 2 weeks ago.Their director wants to meet.I bet pay is one of the first things to be discussed so that no one’s time is wasted.Am I crazy for not wanting to entertain it for less than 20-25% base pay increase? Is it selfish to ask for more? I’m sure most salary conversations end in negotiation anyways?

There are A LOT of factors and if you're not in the cohort system then it's every man for himself. There's already a difference between MBA vs non-MBA pay at the M1 level. Also in advisory it depends on the vertical and horizontal. In conclusion, no f-ing clue! Good luck!
Mine was $0. Thanks cohort system
Cohort? Please do explain. Came from industry and have only been at PwC for about a year...up for promotion but I don't know the technicalities within consulting when it comes to promotion.
P5 part of that statement is false - there is not a different cohort model or pay system for different verticals. The Management Consulting and Technology consulting horizontals share the same cohort pay system while Strategy is on a much different one
@S&1 - I thought that was the case as well, but recently I was in a conversation with someone from FS (I'm TMT) and when I told her the M1 salary (MBA and non-MBA), he informed me that it was different. A non-MBA M1 in my group is $135k, but he said that's an M2 salary for his group. I was quite surprised as well.
Your kidding...what cohort were you at?
Better off asking about the cohort pay levels. Average is over, didn't you hear?
I do wish there was a decoder ring for cohort etc.
Go into fathom and search cohort... It's a critical read to understand all other levels and bands within the levels. But it had no decoder for what each area equates to for salary.
Thank you- reading up on it...says Assurance doesn't follow the cohort system so we'll see- I am in an assurance group that does both C1/C2 work (I am on the C2 side) so we shall see.
HR will provide the pay scale if you ask them. Email and ask what a M1 base pay is today.
