Anyone leave PA to go back to school for their MBA and a career change? Are you happier with your career? Really looking into going back to school just debating on if the pay off is worth it (I’d have to take out a loan and still have some left from my undergrad)

How is life in FDD/ what are the most common exit opportunities?

So I used to work for a company where my job was good, was a director of business solutions for a fashion brand. Only issue was that the CFO micromanaged and ended up leaving. My background is digital transformation however I took an infrastructure position to rebuild a provincial healthcare system. Hi, I got offer from KPMG Global Services. They have a component in their salary called "Flexible Compensation". I understand, it is something which the employees usually structure by themselves. I am confused about a few of the allowances, "Mobile/landline bill reimbursement", "Expenses in pursuit of Education", "Purchase of computer at home". Are these reimbursements or they will be paid as part of the salary?

How big is to big for an initial investment property. Theres a 20 SFH portfolio for sale by me for about a mil. Is this to big to start with initially? I'm less worried about the Financials (feel comfortable on that end) and more worried about the managerial aspect.

I left my job without having anything else lined up otherwise I would have had a mental breakdown. I’m not even in that great of a financial place, but it was my job or my sanity. So after two weeks of waiting (and giving up on the idea of getting the job really), the recruiter got back to me.

They said due to month-end and quarter-end close they were busy and couldn’t get back to me as quickly for a “good update”.

The recruiter said the CFO enjoyed our call, she, the CFO, will call me next week directly to “discuss some final things”.

Not sure if Im hired or not, but are there any questions about the job, comp (cont.)

I started a position a month and a half ago at a large holding company. My manager left after 2 weeks of training me, and his replacement is likely going to be another senior accountant. I am so lost and don’t have the guidance I had signed up for. Is it bad to ask for an internal transfer to one of the brands instead?
