Received an offer as Engagement Director from Salesforce (CSG, pre sales, L9). Great benefits package, 40% increase in total comp and better WLB.
I do love the people in my practice and current client, but career trajectory has stalled after taking parental leave earlier this year and (yet another) change in leadership.
Realistically, making to Director is 2-3 years away and will require sacrificing time with my family that I am not prepared to give up.
Should I stay or should I go?

I haven’t. I did travel with my husband and my 3 month old during my first mat leave to visit family. I could picture doing that trip again with just me and my upcoming baby, but it’s because I’m traveling to visit family and will be somewhere that I’ll have help. Would I take my new baby alone to like a vacation vacation, like a resort or sightseeing trip? I lean towards no.
Fair. Maybe I’ll go visit my sister.. good thinking!
I took weekend trips with my older kids and left the baby at home with dad.
Ugh that does sound fun (at least with my 7yo) but would be a huge pain for me breastfeeding/pumping. Maybe next year when I’m done though.
I did a week in Miami with my baby at 3 months and older kids/husbnd. I would not have done that alone because it’s a lot of time to be by yourself with just the baby. You’ll need a break.
