Hi All, Today I've resigned and my LOD is 2 Sept. Can anyone please let me know for these 90 days salary would be credited only after FnF. Or June'22 salary will be credited as usual, however, July and September salary would be credited during FnF. Please confirm or suggest.

I just got an offer from Accenture Switzerland, Total Comp 170K with 140K base. I have 6YOE as IT consultant and 9YOE in total. I am just upset that they did not offer me a relocation package of 20k because the cost of living in Zurich for a family with 1 child is crazy! Should I insist for a sign on bonus before accepting the offer?

Hey OP, I come from a small Greek family so I completely understand the desire and need to help family and make that a top priority.
My recommendations would be to try to network into a Salesforce or somewhere with a really solid product. You mentioned some technical u deets and so is there a platform you’re familiar with? This could help justify a higher base/being able to actually make the jump.
Yes, im actually familiar with Salesforce lol
?
Parents retire. Theyre separated but my mom is 62, dad is 70 and both are still working and dont have a dime of savings or a retirement fund. Dad has a small business and still works 80 hours a week and my mom just got laid off from her job as a hostess where she was making $10 an hour. Stepdad is a lazy POS who drives uber and cant keep a steady job and ever since my mom married him, her finances got even worse by eventually having to claim bankruptcy since he convinced her to take out a 2nd mortgage to start a small restaurant which neither of them knew nothing about. Went under in less than a year.
Whats a realistic base I can expect with having experience in tech on the consulting side? Do you think id have to start off in an entry level role doing inside cold calls/business development or could i jump straight into an account executive position?
How old are you, 27-28? Can you start with taking your mom first to see a financial counselor? That’s likely a better step for you before uprooting your career for albeit virtuous motivations.
Consultants make up good solutions consultants or sales engineer (part of sales org within most tech companies) which needs a combination of presentation skills and product understanding and positioning. They could also be successful in account management roles which involves a combination of renewals and expansions.
Based on how you described your aspirations, I believe you’re talking about a pure hunter role (responsible for new logos) such as a sales director. I’m not saying it’s impossible but I haven’t seen many consultants being able to transition into a hunter role.

Hey OP, I think that’s important to understand that in account executive roles there is a good level of cold calls/business development. Having technical knowledge of products is of course important, but sales salaries and commission structures are more based on a proven track record of being able to get in front of buyers and close. Sales can always pull in others to answer product questions. I’d recommend talking to some sales/account executives on what their day to day is really like.
