For what its worth I also asked my wedding planner who just replied, they get used mostly during cocktail hour and if watching your budget would be the first thing she would cut.... hmmm... not looking good for the photobooth. However, would love to hear from anyone who used one.
Tacky IMHO.
We used and bought instax cameras and had a background where they could take pictures next to. We thought it was an easy way to save some money and our friends barely noticed the difference!
Would definitely recommend! Ours was set up during the reception and was great for people who didn’t want to to dance to have something to do other than sit around. Our came with props and people loved it! And we were able to see/download all the pics that were taken and it was really fun
Following! I’m having the same dilemma
I did and it unfortunately froze and was only used for a portion of the cocktail hour. I’ve gone to a lot of weddings that have them and the print outs or digital downloads are a nice little favor for guests.
One question to think about is if you think it will get used?

That's what I am trying to decide. I would definitely do manned and print, if I do it. Have researched enough to know ask equipment type and that you want someone who uses a sub printer not inkjet.
If budget is an issue definitely cut it. It's a good thing to have between ceremony / cocktail hr / reception gives guests things to do. However if time in between is not long you can cut it. If you still want it there are different cost effective options. Event planner here.

Thanks, I have budget, but maybe not the best layout. If its out in the cocktail area, may not get used later. If you put it in the main room where dinner and dancing will be, then you probably need to open that area duting cocktails. Although may need the room anyway to keep the cocktail area from being too crowded. Just trying to get my head around it with the logistics... and if it's worth it. Personally love them, but.....
