What's the salary range for a director at the Gilead Sciences foundation? There is a position perfect for me, but I don't want to throw my hat in the ring if starting salary isn't $180-190k. Also, any thoughts on the stability of their philanthropic commitment? There's talk of a recession; I don't want to go private to be cute a few months later.

Not work experience but passed on job offers from Fidelity and T. Rowe Price. Pay for both companies was mid-market, both required MBA for senior level positions that provided the comp I was looking for and I’m not interested in going back to school. Fidelity has more levels to work through to get to higher roles which in my experience means more politics and friction to achieve career goals. T. Rowe seems to have more flexibility for advancement I passed because I didn’t want to relocate to Baltimore.
Yea I just got out with a B.A in 2020 idk if I'm ready for more loans yet.
I started at Ameritrade and they had a business development program that moved the process from working the phones to working as a financial consultant. I don’t know if they’re still running it with the merger, generally speaking starting in some kind of development program is the best way to know what growth looks like especially early on in your career
Was at fidelity for 7 years, left and went to two other firms and was lucky enough to come back. 10+ years at Fido and 16+ yoe.
The benefits are amazing and hard to beat. You have the ability to move up quickly. The culture is very important and the ones I’ve seen not advance are the ones who have a me first attitude and show it.
There are so many different career paths and locations that most people stall their own career either because of not being flexible in their location or being open to different roles
Thanks for the insight
