Been 7 business days since my final onsite google interview and the recruiter told me yesterday “the hiring manager is still working on a final decision”. Am I toast?
Anyone know the approximate range of compensation for BCG PLs that exit to Corporate roles in the F1000 or so companies? Is 300k realistic?
Looking for a NYC/NJ non profit to be on the board for. Interests include healthcare, education and supporting female entrepreneurs. Though I’d see if anyone has any advice on finding this role
Does healthy debate regarding current events have a role in the classroom these days? Is it supported by staff and administration? I teach littles, so we're not ready, but I'm geniunely curious over how interested or non-interested older students are concerning today's topics...
I’m quitting and need someone to take over my role. The person I thought was best for it said no. How the heck do I approach someone else on the team without making them feel like second pickings?
What's your thoughts? Which one is better? Deloitte vs. Merkle. 13 yoe, technical architect/manager role.
Accenture CN peeps, my manager has not been able to staff me to a project for 2 weeks now after my release from one of the projects where the role as as good as content manager’s. Anyone have any tips on finding a fully remote position? Looking into securing a remote job. I hate the idea of going into the office.
Has anyone worked on a team for a large scale integration? Considering an industry role for it and had a few questions!
Need some advice: For context I’m an engineering student - I’ve gotten a role as a business analyst for a health tech startup that just raised their series A (10M) and is rapidly scaling. They brought me on part time until I finish up school in the spring. I negotiated to begin my vesting schedule now and I absolutely love the company and product-only problem is that I am losing all motivation for school…especially since it’s engineering. I’m going to finish-but how do I make it easier to balance
I was laid off from a resource management role, working with employees approaching or on the bench, working with managers to staff projects, and support functions like report creation, scheduling, etc. Roles like this are few and many large consulting firms have frozen internal hiring. Do you think it would be beneficial to get a SHRM cert? Would that help get a "talent related" HR role? Worth the money? I have a background in recruitment as well.
Any idea about AWS professional services? I got reached out for a sr business analyst role. Trying to prep for it. Thanks in advance!
Parents-how do you feel about daycares opening? Ours never closed but we kept kids home. Our company is WFH for the foreseeable future & it’s hard to reconcile daycare isn’t the same risk as an office
My boss and mentor was recently laid off with the cuts made last week, and I have a gut feeling I’m next. I’ve tried my best to stay positive with my current agency, but it’s time to move on. I need a change of pace. Understand just about every shop is on a hiring freeze, but anyone need a strategist?
Have an offer from a startup in a high growth space; however, I would be taking a 14% pay cut for the role. The managers are nice, the team is small, and good promotion opportunities. Any advice here? Role is out of Austin.
Any good books / podcasts for developing great leadership skills - bonus for creative leadership. Thx.
In my town, we have been getting daily email notifications from the school district informing the parents of new Covid cases, usually it’s 1-3 new cases per email/day, the last email earlier this evening, 22 people (students, faculty, and district employees) tested positive!! Infection is spiking bc of the holidays. I am so glad we made the decision of keeping our kids home for virtual classes instead. How is the situation in your town?
Our firm is going to be hiring after 10/15! 55-65 hour weeks during busy periods. Primarily looking for seniors and up, but we will also consider experienced staff. Firm is located in Los Angeles but remote is also a possibility (I’m fully remote and so are a few others). Clients we serve are ultra high net worth, real estate investors, and the entertainment industry. DM if you’re interested.
What are the key components of your company’s Code of Conduct? Anything you wish was included but is not?
Been in Consulting for over 25 years. Looking for a change. Love stock and options trading. Have been doing system functional and integration testing and like it. Led teams of people (even clients and client contractors). I like to coach, mentor, and motivate. Getting tired of working 60+ hours a week , needing to do +1s and 0 to 2% increases for “great work” but still bring a positive attitude to the team. Just taking PTO and reevaluating next steps. Company/BU recommendations?
Project team is all traveling into my local city this week, meaning I've slept in this morning and spent almost 2 hours at the gym. It's going to be a good week
How do I get my client team to finish Prototype testing? I’ve given them a week. Want tips/tricks? They are all remote. Work around the world so I’ve set up call in times if they need help. Help!!

Marriott merger decline is starting - just asked to provide my company ID at check in at Westin Dallas...
Might seem like a silly question but do any of your firms, or do you know of any firms, that have fairly progressive cultures? WFH has made me realize how incredibly stifled I felt in the office. I want to be able to show some tattoos, have a purple streak in my hair, wear artistic clothing etc and still be taken seriously. Does this kind of utopia exist or am I being extremely naive? I'm originally an artist. I hate how much I've realized that I've stifled my personality for this industry.
If FAANG PM roles are the new “prestige”, what graduate programs guarantee employment into FAANG at the same rate M7 lines you up for roles at MBB? Coding bootcamps don’t seem to be answer....neither does “Master in X”🧐
I have the chase sapphire preferred and just realized it’s not the reserve... how much am I missing out on?
Need an advice, even though I’m an HR. So, I’m unemployed at the moment and want to start looking for a new job. I negotiated my way out for several reasons 1) My boss was not comfortable doing diversity initiative insisting that all lives matter and we’re meritocracy based business 2) I was responsible for 33 countries, which was very demanding in a time of Covid, as I had to be on most crisis committees directly or as as oversight, and at the same time I have a child on spectrum, and with the
So.. EY’s health insurance through BCBS only covers Pap smears every 3 years now… HOW is this okay. I just paid $990 out of pocket because the rules changed this year. I’m pissed

Anyone buying a house in the current visa environment? Was holding back, but now I am like WTF, this is never ending, if things go south, I can sell it.
What kinds of models can I create for low frequency businesses? I recently switched to a startup at a data analyst role and have been teaching myself about statistics…I found survival analysis models and wanted to try and implement one to determine our customer retention rate and eventually a LTV The business I’m in is very low frequency (most customers use our product once a year, but we do have many users) and I’m worried this will lead to poor results. What other models do…
We're returning to the classroom full time after Spring Break (finally!!!). I am going to be co-teaching for the first time and I'm nervous because I'm new to the school and don't know this teacher well. Any tips on how to get to know her and plan together?
