HI folks,
My current CTC is very low with respect to my YOE. CTC : 5.2 lpa
YoE : 4
Tech stack : Python , MLops
But now my manager has initiated H1B visa for me and the visa process is in progress.
Is it worth to wait till the H1B process completes to work in U.S (or) should i make a switch immediately. .

Just recieved a offer from Western Alliance Bank for a Senior Business Analyst role. Comp 100k but the role would be in office. I currently work remote, have unlimited PTO,and a really healthy work life balance but am being underpaid tremendously. The new role seems like it does not have healthy work life balance and many red flags have already come up. I want to grow my skills and wouldn't mind being in office as I do miss being around people. How do I vet the role before accepting?
What does Chicago Tax Comp look like now days?

1. Headcount is growing quickly so somewhat struggling to build a strong culture, especially now due to WFH. People are chill and skew to the analytical on average. Generally great WLB (no firm initiatives and little travel), but right now at least I'm working 60 a week regularly. People are respectful of others' time and there's no late night pls fix culture whatsoever. 4-hour fridays (end work at 1) from June to September are nice but hard to keep right now.
2. Projects are mostly analytics (think benchmarking or attrition modeling) and relatively narrow scope growth strategy (think new payments products and lots of customer segmentation), some payments innovation work, some risk. Generally ~8-12 week projects. Some larger programs with varied work at a handful of big banks. No PMO, orgmodel, cost cutting or system implementation work here though.
3. Visa has a pretty good support infrastructure with good internal systems and easy direct access to aggregated data. Lots of SMEs to leverage across the organization globally. Data science and economic insights teams work closely with VCA, so lots of knowledge to access there. However VCA itself is a small org within Visa and doesn't have much support staff, eg slide beautification teams, if that's what you mean. VCA could use a better knowledge sharing system, which is in the works
4. Base varies by location (SF/NYC are higher) and is ~15% below MBB/B4 at MBA level, not sure how it scales from there. 401k match is great. You get some Visa stock at higher levels plus a 15% discount. Expect ~20% target bonus.
I’m a manager now. What level is equivalent to that at Visa? Also what level are they being MBA hires?

C1: any insights on their case interviews? Thoughts on what to expect?
Have one coming up so any help would be appreciated!
Recently had a case study interview with VCA, overall had a positive experience and received an offer shortly after. Expect a traditional management consulting style case interview centered around payments & card issuing strategies. Familiarize yourself with revenue/cost levers of Visa, card businesses, and other Visa's other clients (fintech, retail).
