Anyone work in risk within private equity? Any idea what variable compensation looks like?

Can’t help you but all I know from doing work for them is they are looking for the cheapest price

Risk is more of a middle- or back-office function in PE firms, so expect variable comp to be razor-thin at best (but probably closer to zero).

Yeah this isn’t really true. You’re not going to get carry or multiples of your salary like the deals team, but I would still expect variable comp in the form of 25-100% bonuses in BO/MO roles - depending on seniority, AUM, and fund performance.

I was wondering if the review course “CPE Self Study Course” for the CFF was enough preparation to study and pass the CFF exam. The CFE review course was enough and like if you get a question wrong it explains it well so that when it comes up in a different way in the real exam you can still get it. But when I saw the outline for the CFF material and there seems to be a lot of topics so I was wondering if the review course was sufficient considering this exam is also multiple choice. Thanks!
