My brother has 8 YOE post his Masters with a US bank in their rates trading division as a software developer- managing, supporting and developing software for pricing trade executions, risk management and reporting requirements for the trading desk. He wants to pivot out of banking and maybe look for an opportunity with FAANG or with MBB/Tier2 consulting. Any inputs on how to go about this transition, what hiring managers look for and if consulting is an option? TIA

MBB folks on H1-B who recently switched to FAANG - did you run into any issues with visa transfer? My transfer has been filed and I’m a bit nervous about USCIS’ perception of consultants and the current sentiment around H1-B visas.

I'm armed with two years of Product Manager and, before that, 1 year in MBB; plus I've tackled extensive commercial due-diligence for targets anywhere from $50M - $500M - any idea to make this ambition a reality? Currently in Private Equity (in India), have an offer to join the PE practice of MBB in SGP. What are the exit options like? Would it help if i stayed in India PE role for a few more years and then try to move or would gaining SEA experience help get me into a PE role in SGP in a few years? Context: Hard to find growth+ tech focused PE roles in SGP at the moment & want to make a move in the next few years. Please advise.

Is there really that big of difference in recruiting between USC and UCLA MBA? I checked MBB target schools and only one recruits at USC whereas all 3 recruit from UCLA. I would have thought it would have been about the same. Thoughts from MBB/B4/Tier 2 consulting?

Assuming I get into CBS/Wharton, is there that much of a difference between them to forgo scholarship money? I'm at Kolkata. Started off with 1.8LPA, currently around 11LPA. BTech+MBA. Always get scores of 4 out of 5 (exceeds expectations) KRA YoY and pointless praises about how well I managed projects, yada yada. I get good work-life balance.
