Apparently, I made an unforgivable mistake. Today, I yawned while checking out a customer. I've never seen someone get so offended before. She spent nearly 20 minutes complaining to my manager about me. Why are people like this?

The cost of living is so high that everyone is overworked and exhausted just trying to simply afford to survive. But that's not good enough for some people. If you aren't hyper focused and alert in their presence then you don't deserve your job.

I have yawned at work more times than I can remember and no one complained . Customers expect too much from staff while behaving badly themselves so it should not be something to worry about

like

Being a human beings comes the the hazards of yawning , blinking, sweating , and several other human reactions. Sorry not sorry for offending.

like

Sorry I see it as rude to yawn in front of customer s .Try saying excuse me and cover your face

like

Quick question. Did you cover your mouth when you yawned? Covering your mouth and then stating “my apologies I didn’t get a good nights sleep” could have made the difference. People respond based on the skills their taught when growing up Just a thought

Personally I don’t like when someone yawn front of me then recruiters possibly same

Sounds like she was trying to get you in trouble

like

I guess she has never had a bad nights sleep due to worry and stress due to stressful life situation…money, moving house, relationship problem, sick kids / parents / partner etc. How blissful must her life be…oh and miserable because she is so darned negative.
Don’t worry hun, you‘re not the problem here.

Oh my goodness, that's a great thing to say.

Sounds like a familiar complaint smh

like

It's because customers have nothing better to do. Having someone get a complaint from higher ups makes these customers day and makes them feel fulfilled.

like

Because we live in a world of "karens" who have nothing better to do than berate others

😆

Some people are just miserable and have nothing better to do. Take it with a grain of salt

There are time when you just need to take a break. People today get offended on all the little thing in life. Cara will catche up to her.

Hi

I resigned Epam Anywhere last week because I am on bench since 2.5 month , package in EPAM Anywhere was 32.40 lpa fixed .

Started looking outside and got opportunities.

Two offers:

Citi bank- 3277000 fixed

Mastercard- 308000(including 2.80lakhs variable)

I am really confused between these two companies, I heard WLB is very good in Mastercard, but again their salary difference is too much.

Kindly suggest its Urgent.

What's a Restaurant General Manager salary in South New Jersey?

I'm a cashier. We just got a new manager, and she's making things really hard for us. She starts work at 4:30am and leaves around 2:30pm, but she still expects us to stay until 6pm and work on the weekends! She gives us really long shifts and doesn't give us much time for breaks. And when we ask her about it, she gets mad.

I'm worried that if I speak up, she'll make my life even harder. I don't want to lose my job because of this—do you guys have any advice?

For all you retail people...are you experiencing a very slow holiday season? I am a retail manager and I feel like this season has been freakishly slow. I thought we would at least match last year's number or be up a little bit but we are trending down. I talked to employees of other stores in the mall and they are saying the same thing. Is anyone else experiencing this in their market?
