Depends which direction you’d like to go. Beverage manager or restaurant manager are options, but also sales rep for a beverage company or sales coordinator in a hotel and move up from there.
With your knowledge, I would say that a bartender's bar would be a special place for you, in this part of the hotel business if you have discipline and great commitment in a short time you can be promoted to head bartender and then to manager. I wish you luck on your way. That was my path and I did very well.
Have you looked into any Hotel Operations Manager positions? It seems like this type of role would work great with your experience. I
I would look into hotels, specifically in the event department. You can start out as an event services manager making $25 an hour, and then move up to event manager and senior event manager, making 80k or more depending on your market. Going the restaurant route in management will mean long hours with not as much pay. Senior event managers work fairly normal business hours and have weekends off if there’s not an event at the time. If there is, you take Monday off or whatever. It’s good pay and good work life balance and can lead to more opportunities in the corporate event space later on.
You’re looking to end in a general manager position- which can net you over 6 figures - eventually.
