Does it generally take more than 2 weeks to respond with the hiring decision once the final interview panel is complete? Recruiter says the team is still gathering feedback. Is it just another way of stringing someone along while you interview other candidates in hopes of finding someone better?
Could go either way, mate. Hiring team could be weighing options amidst whatever else they're tasked with on the daily
I don’t think so. I’ve heard that it can take a couple of weeks before you hear anything from them.
2 weeks seems a bit long. Hopefully it's on the up-and-up, but I'd probably follow up again.
Have been limiting the number of times I reach out to the recruiter. Most recent was late last week.
It's Apple so I wouldn't be surprised if they have a boatload of other candidates to sift from. What's for you is for you, no need to stress over it.
Rising Star
In my experience with multiple companies, hiring decisions are usually made within a day or so of the interview. If you haven't heard back it likely means you didn't get the job or they have another candidate they like better. I'd reach out to your contact at the company to see what's happening.
Pretty common with most FAANG companies
I think it's either what you proposed, or they're internally trying to hammer out the offer, get paperwork signed off, etc. 2 weeks for FAANG doesn't seem that bad so maybe wait it out a couple more days
