Apple IS&T interview experience - SDE position


I recently interviewed with Apple IS&T team. After that my HR is not responding at all. I finished my interviews on March 7th,2025. Did anyone interviewed and got response?

No hopes with FAANG companies.

Do I go for a promotion even though I’m being told it isn’t a home run? Is there a backlash/ detriment to declaring for one and not receiving? Would I be wasting folk’s time? This is my first run at a promotion outside the Army.

Got H1B approved this year. Planning to visit home country (China) and get the visa stamping. Can I work from China while I’m abroad to get the visa stamping? I’m planning to leave for a week (cont’)

Is anyone in this group spent 4 years in public accounting audit still waiting for his/her employer to start Labor petition perm process? I have only 2 years left with my h1b now, during this unprecedented time I am worried if the firm may not be willing to incur additional cost? Hey guys, I am about to complete a year in IB, and will start the recruitment process soon for buyside roles. I think I am more interested in VC/Growth vs late stage PE, but wanted to know more about the difference in comp between the two. I am looking at roles in London, so would be great to know whose comp is higher and who are the top payers for VCs/early growth.

Big name shop. Shitty account, but you get opportunities beyond that.

Shop with bad reputation that lacks PR and hardly enters awards but has a lot of book-worthy projects.

I need help. I constantly pick at my beard for the last two years. It is creating holes and looks terrible. How can I solve this. I tried a number of things to keep my hands busy. Also how can I grow my beard thicker?

I’m in my second year in a financial services vertical. Not sold on staying in this practice for the remainder of my career and would likely want to pivot to strategy. Will I have a hard time getting into that role with siloed experience in FS?

People who are happy that the office is dead should reconsider. If the office is dead wouldn't that mean more outsourcing and less TC forward? Isn't it short sighted to think jobs will stay in the US if they are remote considering how expensive it is to hire here?

Hey everyone - I could do with some advice. Not sure what I am doing wrong, but I am having a hard time getting interview calls. I am trying to pivot from consulting to the industry and targeting project/program management roles. I have been doing this work for 7+ years now (total YOE 12 years) so certainly have the right skillset. I have tried a couple of referrals too but that didn’t help either. What's the longest amount of time before starting a new role that you've been able to negotiate with a company?

I have Product Manager interviews starting next week at Google. Does anyone have tips they’d be willing to share? I interview well, I’ve done some prep, and I know the field, but I still have a bit of imposter syndrome and overall nervousness nipping at my edges.

Does your company give you election day off to vote?

I feel burnt out by how ruthless the tech industry in US is, but I also know I’m making much more money than people outside of tech or consulting.

How do you adjust your WLB?
I’m so burnt out that I wish I could yell at people who were not kind or supportive to me, but those people often unfortunately were in position of power.
I don’t like unkindness, but my anger is just very bottled up…
What can I do to stay level-headed even when the other side is disrespectful?

Reorgs are just a part of the corporate world. If you haven’t been a part of one in your career yet, then you most likely haven’t been in the corporate workforce for very long. If you have been a part of a reorg, however, how do you personally approach it? There are many factors at play, but in general do you try to establish relationships with the individuals you know will be key contributors and/or decision makers going forward? Or do you lay low and let what ever happens be/hope for the best?

I have a counter offer with more package than the Microsoft. Do they have a policy of blacklist the candidate if I change my mind after accepting the offer?

Joined Amazon non-tech with a base pay cut after an MBA and 5 YOE in finance. Make GBP 178K TC in London (after 7 yrs at AZ).. fair value or time to move? Thanks!
