Wasn’t aware that the airlines have positions that require a clearance? Can you expand on how you found this job opening? What type of clearance is required for this position?
Don’t worry I’m not looking to apply…just asking for the future.
Honestly not sure on the clearance level, but I'm sure it's because it is an analyst role determining safety of flights and operations to various parts of the world in reference to terrorism. Also as a side note I believe (don't quote me) all US airlines can be called to service to assist in a time of war or major natural disasters in this case the airline would work directly with the military or other intelligence services to complete the mission.
I found the job on indeed. I've seen a decent amount of positions posted (often in it) that need a clearance, while these companies generally will have the ability to fund an investigation to aquire the clearance they do state preferences will be given to those holding an active one.
Did you look on Glassdoor and Indeed? I’d also recommend using the @ and your company (United in this case) to ping their bowl for Insights from the employees there
Ah I just tried too and doesn’t look like there is one. Maybe reach to someone in a similar role there on LinkedIn and ask for a chat, particularly if they’re a vet. Could also talk with a United recruiter. Could try Reddit too.
