Why does it seem the interview process takes so long nowadays...a couple companies im going on a month and a half of rounds..if so many are quitting the workforce you would think help is needed immediately?

If you could go back and restart your career, would you still choose accounting? I have a lot of friends who majored in other areas (finance, real estate, etc) who make the same or more, didn’t have to spend 5 years in college, and didn’t have to take the CPA. Makes you wonder what the reward is for all the extra work
