What is the appropriate amount of time to follow up with a company after they've verbally told you they would be giving you an offer? I don't want to look desperate as I know that's not great for salary negotiation but it's been a week and I really want to follow up!
Would anyone take a 23% raise and fat signing bonus to go back in title with support for fast track promo? Moving between B4 firms
Sr Consultant, Human Capital, Federal Industry Alignment, $115K. First year. Will likely get a 3. Was told by a SM that I make as much as most managers and I shouldn't expect a bonus or raise. True?
Does PwC advisory have a senior promotion bonus? Or is it only compensation raise and performance bonus on previous level?
Hey 🐠, what is your base salary vs. the price of your home when you bought it? I’ll start - I’m currently at a 115k base and paid $218k for my home. I live in Atlanta.
What % of your salary do you have saved right now? Savings account / checking account count but not stocks/investments, 401(k), etc.
Perspectives on Managing Director (newly promoted) base and variable comp across big 4 and equivalent firms looks like these days?
Deloitte what is the average manager salary for M&A Manager for Restructuring and Cost Transformation? Have an offer from Deloitte…is the target bonus truly 25-31% and is the historical payout in line with target? Getting a pushback on base
Asking for my spouse. She is five months pregnant and has a amazon offer. She works for Deloitte too. Deloitte definitely has a better maternity leave but amazon is doubling her take home salary. Also agreed to work from home for two years. Thoughts? Stress wise her Deloitte practice ( strategy) is probably as stressful or more as compared to amazon role so it literally boils down to maternity benefits for us.
Anybody work at Amazon? Are their offers negotiable? My husband got an offer for a senior position in the VA office paying $120k plus $20k bonus plus 13 shares of stock that vest over 4 years. My husband has ~6 years of experience (2 yrs midsize PA plus various industry roles) so the senior title is low but have heard you have to take a step down in title to work at Fortune 25 companies. He likes the offer but not sure if he should negotiate for more because it’s expected?
I got a new offer but in terms & conditions they have written - The company at any point have the rights to review and restructure its compensation package. My concern is this is common in every organisation offer letter. Please clear my doubt.
I’m sponsored from Deloitte at my mba program and I’m planning to rerecruit for MBB. Some of my classmates and others in the program really question why I would do this. I personally did a lot of research into comp and it seems like MBB definitely would exceed in just a few years after mba. I guess just looking for opinions, is this an irresponsible plan? Or do you guys think getting MBB is def worth giving up my sponsorship
https://joinfishbowl.com/post_0um71i A lot of debate here and we’ve gotten a lot of “ranges.” Anybody have actual insight on the avg/median comp Principal/MD/Partner or how the comp model actually translates to numbers? Several of my peers would love to have a clearer sense of this salary trajectory in figuring out next steps.
Have an offer as an Associate Director at equivalent comp (currently a manager). Role seems interesting. Not Familiar with delineation between SM / AD / D. AD is new to me. Can anyone shed any light on this? Thanks.
On salary bowl. Ask for level, gender, $$$, exp for various social peeps. Associate says this 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
I've gotten lazy this week. How do yall get back on the path and get motivated to get it done?
Looking to transition back into Corp Finance (FP&A). What’s a realistic salary in an HCOL city? 4YOE (2 industry 2 consulting). I’m hoping for $120k base but not sure if I’m shooting too high.
Two colleagues have burnout and the partner has nothing else to say than „they knew the risks when they signed for the job“!!! Man im glad we are currently working remote or I would have punched that MF in the face. Does Consulting or partner level kill any sense of humanity in us? Im boiling right now🤬🤬🤬🤬 We can do better than this😓
Just interviewed for this job that sounds superficially good but I think will take me back to the work I did 10 years ago but will pay my target salary and will have a fancy title (VP). I don't really want to do this but I need a job, have run out of UI and don't want to deplete my savings to nothing waiting for the perfect job. If offered, should I take it and continue looking or will it look bad? Changed jobs within 1 year once already. At least this job would be spinnable for what I want.
Any advice would be helpful. Recently started at a tech consultancy and am building up the HR function. Thanks!
Can partners get fired?
what Amex do you get at LEK for the corporate card? does it make sense to even get it if I already have my own gold amex?
So hammed on a 5 hour flight right now with so much work I should be doing but 🖕🏼🖕🏼🖕🏼🖕🏼🖕🏼
Curious to hear everyone’s strategy for giving back, just crossed 100k net worth and about to be promoted to senior associate ~100-105k total comp. I currently donate sporadically to organizations in my community but want to hear other peoples practices/ideas
Anyone looking for a position in Data Analytics or Data Engineering? I am looking for candidates with 3-6 years of experience in those fields who would be excited to join a growing team within a TMT strategy consultancy
Struggling hard to land a new job. Go through many interviews and then end up running into a hitch like “the team likes you, but still waiting on some shoes to fall”. Tell me I’m not the only one
Need advice for resigning while on bench. I already have a start date with the new employer. Should I do a traditional two week notice or give <=1 week notice instead? My goal is to not burn bridges, but I also don’t want to get let go on the spot since I have nothing to “wrap up” besides HR tasks. I’ve read on here that sometimes they will let you go day of and pay you out for two weeks but I don’t see why any firm would do that for somebody not currently performing billable work...
Currently on parental leave. As a father I’m so dang thankful my firm has it and I can’t imagine how my immigrant parents manage to raise two kids without leave.
Hi all, our company is looking for 2 HRBPs: 1 based in the states and 1 in Canada. Do you have any suggestions for postings other the the regular LinkedIn/ indeed?
Taking some time off. Need some book recommendations. Some light interesting non-fiction. No self help or management books. Just interesting topics that won’t make me think about work.
How do you get 40 hours of billable work done (and then not fall behind on admin stuff) with kids at home!? I have a 4 month old and a 3 yo with care 2 days per week and I don’t think I can do this!! Please help!
